Tim Lambros
Leading a team of 50 people, Tim started Sovereign Grace Church in April, 2000. Prior to that he had a successful 17-year career in the insurance industry and was active in Arizona politics. But God showed Tim that, while good laws and insurance policies have their place, he was called to offer people a higher and better hope for safety and security—the person and work of Jesus Christ.
So, as a member of Sovereign Grace Church in Gilbert, Arizona, Tim spent two years being trained by the pastoral staff and attended the Pastors College of Sovereign Grace Ministries in Gaithersburg, Maryland, in 1998 and 1999.
Tim and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 27 years. They have two married daughters, a daughter and son living at home, and an increasing number of grandchildren.
Derek Overstreet
Derek joined the Pastoral team in February of 2005, after graduating from the Sovereign Grace Ministries Pastors College. While Derek regularly preaches and has primary responsibility to oversee the Care Group ministries in the Church, he also leads the Cross Encounter Parent/Youth Ministry and oversees other ministry teams.
Prior to full-time ministry, Derek was successful in real estate and mortgage lending. He and his wife, Donna, have three children and live in Northwest Tucson.
