Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry is called Cross Encounter. Its goal is to shape maturing teens into young adults who love and worship Jesus Christ. We want the youth to see Sovereign Grace as their church, not simply one they attend with their parents.
Cross Encounter is parent-driven. Parents and teens attend the meetings together, worship together, and pray together. Parents are equipped by the church so that they, not the youth pastor, can take primary responsibility for the spiritual development of their teens.
We believe that teens mature spiritually the same way anyone else does—by experiencing, applying, and proclaiming the gospel. Cross Encounter therefore consists of a monthly corporate meeting, a monthly small-group meeting, regular recreational activities, and several service days throughout the year.
Through strong parental involvement under the direction of effective church leadership, our desire is for God to reveal Himself to our youth as they increasingly recognize their need for the Savior.
